Happy Day!

Our friends, Erik and Kristy got married this summer.  We had a great time at their outdoor wedding and the weather turned out great.  I was never that brave to have my wedding outside.  Just had to share these photos!

Gotta love this photo.  The only time in history that Erik has been more dressed up than Tom.  Ha.

So congrats to the happy newlyweds.  We are so thankful for their friendship and so excited for your new life together!

B's 4th Birthday

I can't believe that I haven't even posted about B's 4th Birthday yet!  Boy am I behind.  This year's theme was Angry Birds.  Yes, she absolutely loves that game.  So, when I saw that they had party supplies for angry birds, I knew that's what we had to do.

B had a special present to open the morning of her birthday.  And she got to wear her new shirt for her birthday party!  Her party was held at a local park where we rented a pavilion.  This works so great for us.  The kids get to play on the playground while the food is grilling and we can get everything ready.  We also launched water balloons at cardboard piggies before eating too.  My husband drew some pigs on huge pieces of cardboard and we picked up a water balloon launcher at Meijer.  The water balloons we found were even biodegradable too.

After we ate all the yummy food, we sang happy birthday and she blew out the candles.

She opened presents and everyone went home with a box full of candy.

B's First Haircut

I took B to the salon for the first time.  We both got our hair cut.  It was a fun girl's outing.

B did such a great job!

Changes in the Yard

We actually did a few things outside in our yard this year.  We took out the big ugly bushes finally!!!

And we put up a new fence in the front yard and side yard.  The fence is a really nice addition considering that we live on a busy street.

 The backyard fence between our house and our neighbor's house.  Our neighbor went in half on the fence.  It was a win-win situation for both of us.  The privacy has been wonderful!!

 The new plants in the planter.  We actually had a master gardener plan our yard for us.  She was a really big help!

 Eventually, the rest of the plants will go in as we 

have the money to buy them.

Aquatic Center

A city near us has an aquatic center that is a lot of fun.  My mom, B, Little Buddy, and I headed there back in May.  Yes, it's been a while since I posted and there is a lot to catch up on.  Life changes quite a bit with having 2 kiddos now.  I didn't think I had much time with one child.  Ha, now I think what did I do with all the extra time I had with just one kid and especially before having kids. :)

B really enjoyed herself and it was quite relaxing.  Little Buddy and I just got to sit and watch... well, buddy slept.  I'm so thankful to have my mom and dad living nearby.
