Merry Christmas!

This year for Christmas my parents came over to help with our remodeling instead of us going to their house. Below are the pictures from the day that we celebrated Christmas. Brooke had such a great time. SOOOO excited with all her new things to play with. Click here to see even more photos.

Our New House

Well I'm posting some pictures that were taken before and after demolition began. The closing went so well. We started demolition the day we closed, Friday, December 11th. :) I have some video of demolition too, but haven't loaded that onto my computer yet. So click here to enjoy the pictures and stay tune to see more of our renovations.

Trick or Treat

This year we headed to a local mall to do trick or treating especially since it was so cold outside. B. looked so adorable in her monkey costume. Her nana and papa were able to come with us this year and after getting some stickers and candy we headed to the mall play area for her to play for a while.

The Martha Party

We had a great time doing the Martha Stewart Crafts party here at my house. It was so cool to be selected along with 999 other people across the country to hold this event. We had a lot of fun making the birthday card, re-purposing an old ornament with glitter and favor box. Thanks to all who were able to make it!

Halloween at the Library

Every Tuesday we head to our local library for story time. Today was dress up day for halloween. B. loves getting her monkey costume on. As soon as she is all dressed up, I'll hear her little voice say "mirror?" Of course, we have to look at ourselves once we're all dressed up, right? Then off to the full length mirror she'll race.
At the library we heard several stories and then had a parade through the library so that all the workers could see the costumes. Afterward, the lady who does the stories handed out bags with some candy and stickers in them.
Of course, I've been a little under the weather so this about wore me out. It was nice to get a little nap with B. today. I'm hoping this cold will pass soon.

Yesterday, I received in the mail a box that I had been waiting for. A while ago, I registered on Houseparty to host a martha stewart house party at my home. Well....I got picked to be one of the 1,000 hosts across the country!!! HURRAH!!! I was pretty excited. The parties have to be on November 7th. Here are all the products I received yesterday.

Pumpkin Patch

This year we went to a local farm were they have a hayride, donuts, cider and pumpkins. We skipped out on the hayride this year. We didn't think it was worth the money (and not to mention Tom's allergies) to go on that since B. really wouldn't remember it. Instead, we had donuts and apple cider. And then we picked out our pumpkin from a bunch they had out in front of the farm. The day was actually pretty cold, and I was glad we weren't out too long. We found our pumpkin and B. made sure it was coming in the car with us. I don't think she wanted to let it out of her site.

10 years

Has it really been that long? Matt passed away 10 years ago today. I am amazed that so much time has passed. I miss his funny sense of humor, his big smile and his wonderful friendship. He was my best friend growing up. Today has been hard with lots of tears, but I'm so thankful that we have hope in Christ.

The circus is coming to our town....

The circus came to our city and the elephants had to hike it from the train. So we went downtown to see the elephants and horses parade by.
