Pregnancy

My cousin, Meagan and I are pregnant at the same time and have due dates about 6 weeks apart. It was fun being able to talk with her at Rachel and Lauren's bridal showers and see how she is doing. Here are some current pictures of us with our belly's.

My belly has really popped out there and I'm beginning to enter into the uncomfortable stage.
Work can be a little trying at times especially bending down to pick up shoe boxes and picking up all the paper that comes out of the shoe boxes. I'm going to try and stay at work until may 17th, but we'll see how long that lasts. My manager has been giving me short shifts which has been helpful....anywhere from 3 to 5 hours. Recently we've been pretty busy since all of our sandals are in and the weather has been so nice...70's.
We have our last 2 week appointment on Wednesday and then we are onto weekly appointments until she arrives. I can't believe there are only 5 weeks left. Tom is on his break between semesters right now and is busy re-doing the crib and dresser. It should be all finished by tomorrow and I'll have to post the before and after pictures. He has done a wonderful job and they'll look so beautiful up in our little girl's room.

Bridal Showers

This past saturday, my cousins had their bridal showers. Rachel and Lauren (sisters) are both getting married this summer. It was a couples' shower. That is the first one I've ever attended and it was really nice to have the guys there too. Below are some of the pictures we took of the family. It was really nice to get to see a lot of my family since they live about 2 hours away and I don't get to see them very often. Hopefully, I'll get to go to Lauren's wedding but it is 2 days before my due date. Rachel's isn't until July, so that one I can attend.

Lauren and Brandon

Aunt Robin accidentally gave Lauren my baby shower card. So I guess I'll be getting Lauren's Bridal shower card next week at my baby shower.

This "cake" is made out of towels.

Relay for Life

Friday, April 11th, Tom and I went to the Relay for Life event that was held at his school. They started at 6pm and went until 6am the next morning. We stayed until about 11pm...this pregnant mommy couldn't handle anything later than that. This was my first time at an event like this. We went in support of Tom's classmate, Erik. He gave a speech about his cousin, Kyle, who passed away last year from cancer. Kyle was only 15 yrs. old. From talking with Erik, his cousin did profess to know the Lord and was quite an example in the way he handle his disease by leaning on his faith in Christ....what a testimony.
They had events going on the whole night and even provided free meals that had been donated by local restaurants. Below are some pictures from the evening.

Mari, who is one of Tom's classmates, is a cancer survivor. This picture was taken during the survivor's lap around the gym.

The back of mari's shirt.

Tom put on a velcro suit for one of the games they had.

Tom actually got stuck and had a really hard time getting down.
