Easter Sunday

Here are a few pictures I was able to get on Sunday of B in her special dress.  She was dancing around like a ballerina which accounts for the blurriness.

Easter Festivities

My parents were able to come and join us for Easter weekend.  B was so excited.  On Saturday,  B opened her Easter basket in the morning.

Easter basket from us for B.

Easter basket from Nana and Papa for B.

After having a fun morning, we had 2 Easter egg hunts one around 11am and one at 4pm.  The first hunt was at our city park. We were absolutely FREEZING!!!  I was really glad that B's age bracket 2 and under was the first to go.

The second Easter egg hunt was with friends from church in another local park. It was a whole lot warmer by then and we really enjoyed getting together with friends.

We've Got a Snow Problem!

On the morning of April 18th, B. woke up and saw all the snow outside.  Her comment was, "We've got a snow problem."  I couldn't of agreed more.  B. excitedly got her snow pants on and I couldn't say no to her plea to go outside and play in the snow.  I hate going outside and being cold, but I gave in.  She had a great time using her rake in the snow.... even threw a whole clump of snow in her face on accident.  It was a good thing we went out and played with it b/c by the time we were heading to her room for nap time, it was already melting.  And when she got up, the snow was gone.  We had some fun, but I really hope not to see anymore of it until next winter!

A friend's birthday party

B was invited to one of her little friend's birthday party.  She was pretty excited to give her friend the special gift we had gotten her.  They did gymnastics for the party.  B had a great time as you can see by the pictures.  It's so cute to see her developing friendships!  :)

Passion Week

This past Sunday motivated me to get into the Word and study out this week from Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday. You can see a timeline of events at this website here.  Make sure to click on each event in the timeline and you can see all the Scripture that is related below the timeline.  Hope you enjoy your week leading up to the remembrance of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Easter Eggs--another first for B.

This past Friday for family night we made homemade pizza, baked pillsbury bunny cookies and then colored Easter eggs.  B was so excited about decorating Easter eggs since she had never done it before.  It was a lot of fun!

Birthday Week

Tom and I have our birthdays almost a week apart.  So, we declare that week birthday week.

Tom had carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and I had tiramisu from Olive Garden for my birthday cake.

Flying a Kite

While we were visiting Tom's family, we broke out the kite and had some fun!  It was B's first time flying a kite and she did a great job.

Bookie Woogie Blog--book reviews done by a dad and his kids

Our friends the Zenz family were on tv today.  You can see the video below.

Their book review blog is great.  They talk about different books they have read and even review some of the books authors.  You can read that blog here at Bookie Woogie.

Hot Spot #5--piano stuff

Well, I started to work on the office, but that is going to take another whole weekend to get done.  So, I decided to work on organizing my piano materials.  Being a piano teacher, I've accumulated a lot of materials. This has a been a project I've needed to do for quite a while.  I got quite a bit done before our trip out of town this weekend.

Before:

Piles of notes and piano music

Going through my music cabinet

After:

The stack of music that's leaving my house.

My mom and I are planning a BIG garage sale during memorial weekend.  I'm so excited to put all this junk great stuff out that I've been putting aside all year since we moved and see if it sells.  Tom's looking forward to getting it all out of the house too.

Hot Spot #4--pantry and refrigerator

I cleaned out the frig and wiped it down.  Thankfully I had thoroughly cleaned it out not too long ago, so it wasn't too bad.  But I did have quite a few things that needed to be thrown out.  Here are the before and after.

Before:

After:

I worked on my cupboards too since there was pantry food in a few of them.  We really don't have one great place to put everything as far as a pantry goes.  Tom did put some shelves in a closet for me and that is working for the time being.  Here are some pictures of my re-arranged cupboards.

Tomorrow I hope to post the last project hot spot which was anything I wanted to work on.  I chose my office since that is the last room to settle in our house.  I'm hoping to get that done...we'll see.
