Our Anniversary Trip to Mackinaw

I can hardly believe that we've been married for 9 years already!  Time really has flown by.  We had a wonderful time together just Tom and I up in Mackinaw.  My parents stayed at our house with B and we were able to go by ourselves!  We went to the Island on our first day up there.  It was a good thing since that was the only day it didn't rain.  Yeah, the weather was in the 60's and rainy...should of packed fall clothing.  We still made the best of our time together...lots and lots of video game time!!  :)  It was a good thing that we brought our Wii along.

We also went on some day trips to Charlevoix to see the mushroom houses, Harbor Springs, Petosky and Traverse City.

I had to get a picture of this place because the food was WONDERFUL!!!  If you are ever in Harbor Springs, you have to stop at this restaurant CORNICHONS CAFE.  I had Tuscan White Bean Soup (it was in the 60's and rainy...remember?!) with a French Kiss sandwich.  We ended up going to this place because we literally followed our noses.  :)

Traverse City

We had to stop at Cherry Republic since I had tried cherry tea at our friends' house a few weekends ago.  We picked up some cherry tea, cherry salsa and white chocolate covered cherries.  Yum!!

We were eager to get home to our little girl and she was pretty happy to see us too!  Thanks mom and dad for taking such good care of our girl....and giving us a chance to go off by ourselves.  It was relaxing!
